Forward the email. That's it

Your account gets its own forwarding address. Forward any confirmation to it (a hotel, a flight, a train, a tour) and Globejar reads the dates, the times, the booking reference and where you're going, and adds it to the trip. You check it over, and tap Add.

Stop keeping a spreadsheet, before the trip and during it

These are the columns people end up keeping by hand. In Globejar there are no columns to keep: the time, the booking reference and the cost go straight onto the train, the hotel or the dinner they belong to, and everyone on the trip sees the same thing.

▦ Grid lays the whole trip out as a table: a row for every day, a column for each thing you'd track. And it's far less fiddly than a spreadsheet on a small screen: the grid fits it, and the day list is the same trip, made for your thumb.

Every trip does money differently

On your own, or between you

Just keep track.

Log what you spend, in the currency you paid in, and Globejar keeps the running total in yours. Each spend keeps the exchange rate it was logged at, so every device agrees to the cent. See where it went: the stays, the food, the trains.

On a trip on your own there's no splitting and no who-owes-who, just the total.

With friends

Split it, fairly. Not everyone does everything.

Four of you are on this trip, but only three went on the boat tour. Tick who was there and Globejar splits the $96 three ways, not four. At the end you get the shortest possible list of who owes who.

You can add someone before they join Globejar. They count in every split from the start, even if they never make an account.

I don't want to know

Leave it out.

Turn money off in the trip's settings, and 💰 Money and 💸 Spend disappear for everyone on the trip. Nothing is lost: turn it back on and anything you logged is still there.

And if you'd rather not find out what the whole trip cost, Globejar won't be the one to tell you.

Share your trip with your AI

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini to Globejar once, and it can see the whole trip: every day, every booking, what's still unbooked, who's coming and what it all cost.

So you never have to explain the trip again. It already knows where you're staying, what's booked and which days are still free, so when you ask what else to do, its ideas fit the trip you're actually on. Ask whatever you want. Some things you might say:
